About us... We met in college and soon fell in love.  We’ve known each other for 21 years and have been married for 18 years.  Our marriage is built on trust, respect, faith and friendship.  We want to fulfill our dream of having a second child to complete our family.  We are excited about having a new baby to cuddle and share all the joys of growing up – first steps, picnics at the beach, and birthday parties with lots of balloons and chocolate cake!  We both benefited from having siblings and want our children to have that wonderful experience too. 

Home, Sweet Home... Our wonderful, cozy home is close to the mountains and the beach where we love to play and explore.  There are several terrific parks nearby.  Our quiet and family friendly neighborhood is perfect for morning walks with the baby stroller.  San Jose is such a diverse city.  We love that our children will get to enjoy the educational Tech Center and Children’s Discovery Museum and fun family events like “Holiday in the Park,” with hundreds of decorated trees and an ice skating rink!

My wife Kim... Kim is a dentist who enjoys treating children.  Her gentle touch and kindness quickly put everyone at ease.  She is a sensitive and thoughtful person.  She loves swimming, reading, scuba diving, and baking cookies.  Most importantly, she’s a terrific mom and finds great pleasure in taking care of Haley.  She reads with her, takes her to the park, and takes her shopping. Kim’s maternal instincts are strong.  She loves being with children of all ages and can’t wait to be mommy to our new baby.

My husband Brad... Brad is a Patent Agent who gets a lot of satisfaction from helping inventors legally protect their ideas.  He taught high school biology and still enjoys tutoring students.  He has been a great first teacher for Haley and he’s looking forward to teaching our next little one the colors of tropical fish and how to buzz like a bee.  Brad is a caring and reassuring person.  He likes to run, garden, and scuba dive.  He makes Haley laugh and brings out her creative side.  He will be an amazing dad for both of our children.

Our daughter Haley... Haley is bright, curious, and full of life.   She loves to play outdoors, color the sidewalk with chalk, sing, dance, and read books.  She already has “big sister” instincts, always loving and nurturing her baby dolls.  She will be an awesome big sister.

Family and Friends... We both have very close relationships with our extended families, and we have a good relationship with Haley’s birthmother and her family, too.  We love that they feel comfortable spending time with us and hope that you will, too.  Brad’s family lives close by, so we see them often.  Haley really enjoys playing with her cousin Alex (they’re just 13 months apart!).  Kim’s parents live in Texas and are devoted grandparents who visit California often.  Kim’s brothers and their families live in Texas and North Carolina.  We can’t wait to bring our new baby to the next family reunion!  Many of our neighbors have children.  We enjoy getting together with them to go camping, have barbeques, and celebrate birthdays.

Fun, Fun, Fun... In the summertime, we enjoy barbequing in the backyard and splashing in our pool.  In the winter, we like to build a fire, listen to music, and play games with Haley.  We love to travel and have visited several spots in Europe, Central America and the Caribbean. Our all-time favorite trip was to Disney World.  (I guess we’re just big kids at heart!)  We can hardly wait to include our second child in all the family fun.
